Launch of the Sanskrit Advanced Certificate Program (SACP)

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our much-anticipated Sanskrit Advanced Certificate Program (SACP)! Language students at Yogic Studies will now have the opportunity to structure and advance their Sanskrit education through this robust 70-credit online program. 

SACP Program Overview

Through a comprehensive curriculum of online courses, students engage in university-level coursework in Sanskrit studies. Students will receive training in the language in its various forms (Classical, Epic, Vedic, and Modern Spoken Sanskrit) as well as in Sanskrit literature of various genres (epic, narrative, philosophy, poetry). They will also be introduced to various other aspects of the academic study of Sanskrit, such as working with manuscripts and different scripts, work with commentaries, textual criticism, and Pāṇinian grammar. The program culminates in a graduate seminar where students will have the opportunity to carry out their own Sanskrit translation project.

And the best part is that most of the Sanskrit courses you have already taken at Yogic Studies count for credits! You can now register anytime for the Advanced Certificate Program and begin tracking your course progress immediately with our Program Dashboard. To begin, students will simply be asked to make a one-time payment of $25 USD. 

SKT 501 Graduate Seminar

Students who have earned 60 credits will be eligible for the SACP Graduate Seminar taught by Dr. Antonia Ruppel. Our first SKT 501 Seminar will begin in January, 2024. Sign up for the SACP now and get your credits in order so that you can be eligible to join this first cohort!
